sometimes i think i am a casual clutz. doesn't happen too often, but when it does it's pretty funny. i wish i could count how many times i have managed to roll my ankles...fortunately, my ankles must like me a little bit because i have yet to break or seriously sprain one (knock on wood). so today...went for a nice mile run...nothing to strenuous or anything. I was nearly done. Crossing the last street until I was back at my apartment, a car stopped for me, and there were probably another 2 cars waiting their turn at the stop signs. I cross, avoid two sunken holes in the grass, step from the grass to the street...and BAM...rolled ankle. I nearly fell too...I'm pretty sure my arms were waving every which way (had to look pretty comical)...and made all the better by the 3-4 cars that got to watch this spectacle of a girl (who thought she looked all cool running) to one who was embarrassed when she nearly fell stepping down from the curb. good times :)

what a weekend! This weekend was our Readers Theater where we brought in 4 award winning authors-- Avi , Pam Munoz Ryan , Brian Selznick , and Sarah Weeks . These authors are awesome. They made me feel as if we'd all been friends for years. Everything (for the most part) went as smooth as it possibly could when you're bringing in over 700 people. But we did it...and it was a SUCCESS. And like I said, these authors are amazing and I just had such a good time getting to hang out with them backstage after the show and take them to the airport this morning. I'm exhausted, but it's a good kind of tired--one where you've worked hard, but you know that it's all paid off.

what a beautiful, fall day. so since cari and i live fairly close to each other, we each left our place at 3:30 and met in the middle for a nice little run/walk. Well, we went and found this cool neighborhood. And then we kept finding new places to go. Wellllll....before we knew it, we were out a ways from searcy, hiking it back to town down the grassy parts on the side of the highway...all said and done it was about 4:50 before I was back in my apartment. but it was fun...and it was wonderful outside. but now i'm hungry...hurrah for fall.
